CATCH UP???

Not quite!! There is absolutely NO way that I can catch up from my last post. So, I have decided to just share what is going on currently. First of all, I stay really, really busy with the two below:

Ethan is all BOY and such a handful. He goes CONSTANTLY!!! My mother-in-law says he is just like Jacob was when he was little....and wishes me luck. HA! She has actually given Ethan the nickname of "BAM BAM" as well. Not only is he a handful, but he is so STRONG! I have never seen a kid so strong at such a young age.....he amazes me.

New words are constant everyday for this little guy. It is such a fun stage to see him learning and soaking things up like a sponge! Some of his favorite words/phrases right now are HIPPO, BASKETBALL, HORSE, ONE..TWO..THREE, JUMP, COME ON!, THANK YOU and BABY. He has also fully embraced the word NO!! He is getting very, very good at using this word. Ha!

Ethan loves to play with his daddy, but is still clingy to me. This is probably my fault because I can't resist his sweet little expressions. Just look at this precious boy!(Ethan at about 20 months)

Now, Kaylin.....she is something. I love this girl so much! She is very outgoing and so caring. She is my "little mommy". If she is having a snack and juice, she makes sure Ethan is taken care of as well. One day, Ethan fell and hurt his hands. Before I could get to him.... Kaylin was there holding his hands telling him it was okay while giving them kisses. So sweet! She is such a good big sister.

Right now, Kaylin is very much into doing "school" things. We have a ton of workbooks that she enjoys doing. She would probably complete every page in a day, if I didn't limit her to about 10 per day!! I'm hoping this love for learning will continue through school.... especially since she will be starting Pre-K in August!!

Kaylin is sensitive and sweet. And, if you ask just about anyone....they will tell you that she almost always has a smile on her face! Look at this beautiful smile!! (Kaylin at almost 4 years old)

Kaylin's birthday is coming up on June 13th. She will be FOUR!! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. To me, this picture captures her "grown-up" side. I love it because she is turning into such a beautiful little girl, but I'm sad to see her "baby girl" days go!

Speaking of "baby girl". Emily Joy will be here soon! We are very anxious for her to get here and join our family. I don't know a whole lot about her yet, but I can tell you a few things that I DO know: she absolutely LOVES to move around (which hurts mommy's belly)... so, I'm thinking she is pretty strong, she likes to hear Kaylin's voice, she never wants me to sleep, she already has some hair on her head and is estimated to be about 6lbs. 1oz. Emily will have a gentle, but jealous, brother and an amazing sister who will want to take care of her constantly and teach her new things! Here is a picture of "Emily" at her baby shower:

JAMIE MARTIN'S Story

Hi. I am trying to raise money for the family of a friend. She recently lost her older sister. Not only did she lose a sister, but her parents lost a daughter and her 9 year old niece lost her mother! Things happened very quickly for this family. My friend's sister's name was Jamie Martin. Jamie went in to get check because she was not feeling well and throwing up. Doctors ended up finding a lot of fluid on her abdomen. They drained about 45 pounds of fluid off, but this did not seem to help. She was getting worse. Her kidneys starting failing, her blood pressure was going up and they were trying to keep her heart stable. In addition to this, they found out she had ovarian cancer. Within a week of going to the doctor thinking she was sick with a virus......she was in ICU, sedated and on total life support. Her family was also being told they had 3 days to decide what they wanted to do. They did not decide to take her off life support, but her heart stopped beating on Jan. 11th. This is a loving Christian family who are known for being kind and always going out of the way to help others. Obviously, this was a very sudden death at a young age (I believe she was 31) and the family was not prepared for funeral cost.....much less the hospital bill they will be receiving, since Jamie didn't have insurance. I am asking that you pray for this family and see what you may be able to contribute towards the expense this family is going to be burdened with. We all know that money is such a stress just in itself, but to have that in addition to an unexpected death is at the very least difficult. Please contact me if you would like to help this wonderful family out! My goal would be to raise $1,000 or more and surprise this family with your care and generosity that they give out to others everyday. Ok, so this post is a little random. Well, a lot! First of all, I just realized (scrolling throughh my blog) that I never officially announced my pregnancy on here!! So, surprise......I'm 15 weeks today! HA!! :)

Next, Jacob and I were able to get a night out to ourselves! We went to an Atlanta Falcons game and really enjoyed our time together. We will really miss it when this 3rd baby arrives. Here are a few pictures from that night:

TWO PEAS IN A POD!

Kaylin is almost 3 1/2 and Ethan is almost 15 months old and they are becoming two peas in a pod! It has been so fun watching them start playing together. This was a big reason we wanted more than one kid.....so they would have someone to play with and could grow up together. My heart swells up with love and joy seeing them play and be so sweet to each other. I have, thankfully, been able to catch some pictures and video clips of these precious moments. I'm hoping the videos work! Here are the pictures and clips:

St. Augustine (PART ONE)

Here is a picture of my wonderful husband and the whole reason for our trip to St. Augustine! I have been married to this wonderful man for 5 years. We have been good friends for about 13 years and still love spending time together as much as possible.

Our trip to St. Augustine was really nice (without kids) thanks to Jacob's mom. Here is the welcome sign as we arrived.

Here we are taking a walk our first night at the beach. It was so nice not having to worry about kids and putting them to bed. We tried to stay out as late as we could.

We had thought we would sleep in every morning (since we could), but realized we wanted to spend as much time together without the kids as possible doing things. So here we are early in the morning for a walk.

It has been 5 amazing years that Jacob and I have been married! I was served breakfast in bed this morning and we just sat in bed and talked before the kids woke up. We have an anniversary trip to St. Augustine planned soon with NO kids!! A BIG, BIG, "thank you" to Jacob's mom for offering to watch them. I will probaly write more after our trip, but until then.....here are a few pictures in honor of our anniversary:

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Well, it has been a LONG time since I posted something. Having two kids really keeps me busy. I think my last post was about Ethan being born and now he is 8 months old! He is crawling around like crazy, climbing, pulling up on things, and even sometimes taking steps behind the walker! I think he will be walking on his own very soon. He is such a happy baby!

Kaylin is a great big sister. She plays with Ethan, sings to him, and loves going in his room to wake him up for the morning. When he is down for his morning nap she asks where he is and says that she wants to play with him. Just the other day when I was giving them a bath, she gave Ethan a hug and said “Mommy, …E(f)an’s my best friend!” It was so cute!!

There are so many things that I could write about Kaylin and Ethan, but I think I will dedicate a post to each of them individually (better start now so I get it posted within the next year…ha!) Anyway, having the two of them is wonderful. It’s so great getting double the cuteness, love, smiles, and sweet moments. However, you also get double the trouble! It is harder to keep an eye on both of them, so with that being said………………here are some pictures of the trouble moments and sweet moments:

I HAVE A BOY?????

Ok...so I have to admit that I was terrified of having a boy!! Now, I don't know what I would do without Ethan. I remember hearing that Mothers and sons have a special bond.......now, I'm experiencing it..ALREADY!! I know it seems early, but there is just something about this little boy that has me bonding in a way that is different than Kaylin(not necessarily better...just different). I think I'm going to have a real hard time not spoiling Ethan. I am consumed with love for him and still can't believe how much my love can grow and spread between 2 kids. I was so worried that one would received less than the other or something crazy like that...and I'm so glad that I was wrong. It is amazing to me to think about just how much God has blessed me and my family. I am so thankful for my amazing husband and my wonderful kids Kaylin and Ethan!

Speaking of Ethan.....he is growing like crazy! He weighed 6 pounds 0 ounces when he was born. At his last doctor's visit he weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces. There was one point where he gained a pound in ONE week!!! He is gaining weight, sleeping good, and having new experiences. He had his first bath a while back, but I thought I would share some pictures with you. Ethan absolutely loves having a bath and getting his hair washed. In one of the pictures below, you can see how big his belly is from all his good eating. Also, in one of the other pictures you can really see how long and skinny his legs are....he is going to be tall like his daddy!

Ethan has started smiling every once in awhile. Whether it is because he has gas or if he is happy.....I don't know! I do know that it is so cute and precious when he smiles. I'm happy that I have been able to catch a few pictures of him. Here is a picture of him smiling and just a couple others for fun.

Here are a few more pictures of Ethan. His grandad and Gail sent him a gift card to Kohl's as a present. So, here are a couple of things that it was used for.....a long sleeve onesie and some really adorable shoes! I'm not use to having a baby in cold weather (since Kaylin was in June)....so I'm trying to keep Ethan warm and bundled up the best I can. I try to keep his feet warm with socks, but his feet are just too skinny!! You see, they are big(long) enough to fit into his socks, but too skinny to keep them from falling off. So, these new shoes are perfect for helping keep his socks on and his feet warm and cozy. Thanks Grandad and Gail for the gift!!

Ok.....so, Kaylin has been hilarious lately!!! She is at such an incredibly fun age. I'm going to have to make sure I start sharing all the funny things that she does during the day. Here is one of them: I was sitting at the computer when I hear Kaylin coming down the hall saying "Mommy!...Look at ME! Look at ME, Mommy!" followed by an adorable giggle. I look up to see her like this..........

I started busting out laughing and we both just laughed and giggled at each other for the longest time. It was a very sweet moment. Anyway, she had taken two VHS covers and put them over her legs. She looked like she had peg-legs. It was so funny. Well, I had to take a close up of the VHS covers that were picked for her fashion show down the hallway.....and the winners are?????? ELMO and Thomas the Train!!

Well, many people have asked me how Kaylin is doing being a big sister. The answer is......GREAT!! She absolutely loves Ethan to death. She is so caring and gentle with him. The following are some pictures of Kaylin and Ethan together.

Ethan is here! Well, ok...he has BEEN here. He is already about to be a month old!! I can't believe how fast time goes by.....especially with two kids now! Things are going well though. Kaylin absolutely LOVES Ethan and can be a little too helpful sometimes. They are geat and I love being a mother to two kids. Well, here are some pictures...don't have much time to write today.
Ethan was so little! In this picture you can see how his little sternum sticks up. But, now you can hardly see it since he has been putting on weight.

MYRTLE BEACH!

Our Myrtle Beach trip was so much fun. Jacob, Kaylin and I went 2 days before we met up with Gran, Poppy, RaRa, Nina, Nick and Zach. We had a lot of fun those 2 days, but I did not take any pictures. When I get my camera out, I usually spend more time taking pictures than enjoying my time with Jacob and Kaylin. So, no pictures from our time together. But, I do have pictures from our time with everyone else. There are a lot...so prepare yourself. Here they are:

KAYLIN'S 2ND BIRTHDAY!

Ok,....so Kaylin's birthday was June 13th and she turned TWO!! I know it has been awhile, but atleast I am getting pictures up now. I still can't believe she is 2 already. She has grown so much and is looking more and more like a little girl instead of my little baby! Well, here are the pictures:

LAST OF THE ORLANDO/SEA WORLD TRIP!

Ok! So here is the last post of the Orlando and Sea World trip. There are a lot of pictures....so let's get started:

Here is Kaylin in the pool. This is one of my favorite pictures!

This is Kaylin actually swimming in the pool. She learned fast with the water wings!

Kaylin was swimming to Jacob to play with the ball.

We went and played putt-putt one night. Here she is teeing off!

Kaylin really enjoyed playing putt-putt. She would hit the ball the first time and them run after it and try to drop it in the hole. We counted how many drops it took her to get it in the hole and put that as her score!

This was Kaylin's first boat ride. We took this boat in Downtown Disney to get from one end to the other.

We paid to feed the dolphins. Here is Kaylin checking out the dolphins while we wait to feed them. We liked it soo much that we did it again the next time we visited.

It was fun watching them swim by so close. Kaylin loved it!!

The dolphins were very friendly and came right up to you to get fed. We were able to pet many of them!

This dolphin stayed around us the longest. Isn't it soo cute?!!?

Ok! So we took a picture of the monitor that shows the pictures that the workers have taken. It is not great, but it has all of us in it AND captured the ONLY time we could get Kaylin to hold a fish to feed the dolphins.

Last, but definitely not least, is Kaylin playing with Grandad and Gail. They made this wonderful trip possible for us and we really enjoyed the time we got to spend with them. Thank you!!

So, there they are! The last of the Orlando/Sea World trip. Next up?.......pictures from Kaylin's 2nd birthday and then our trip to Myrtle Beach. By the time I get both of those up we will probably have our new addition!! I only have 7 weeks left!

SEA WORLD (part two)!

Finally!!!.....Part two of our Sea World trip! Sorry it took so long. So, again, there are a lot of pictures. Here they are:

ORLANDO!!

Well, we just recently got back from a vacation with my Dad and his girlfriend. They invited us to go to Orlando with them. It was a wonderful week full of plenty photo opportunities. So, yes....there will be many pictures. I will try to write a sentence with each photo. These are all the pictures BEFORE we went to Sea World. I will post another blog about that later....with more pictures. Enjoy!

Kaylin had a big first day with a lot of swimming. Jacob was holding her after we tried to wake her up from her nap. As you can tell from the picture....she was not wanting to wake up!

Kaylin and I went to visit our friends Chess and Alison. I taught with Alison for 2 years and we both stay at home now! Her little girl, Chess, is 1 and soo cute. Chess greeted us at the door with pig-tails and a HUGE smile. She was very excited for us to be there. Chess had so much energy and was screaming in excitement. It actually scared Kaylin a little. She hasn't been around another girl, close to her age, with that much excitement to play!

Things were not great at first. Kaylin had a hard time sharing and Chess was overwhelmed with excitement. Any toy Kaylin picked up....Chess wanted to come and play with her. However, Kaylin's thought was that she was coming to take the toy away! So, we heard many "no-no-no that's mine!!" from Kaylin, but squeals of delight from Chess. She is so sweet! Alison also has an oversized rocker that the girls really enjoyed together. They smiled and laughed a lot when Alison would rock them.

When the weather was a little nicer, we decided to take them outside to play. This was a GREAT idea. They took turns on the slide and enjoyed playing with each other. Kaylin would pick flowers and take them to Chess. It was so cute. They played with some flowers together and also played with some rocks. We hope to take them swimming the next time we get together. That was the plan for this visit, but the weather was bad. Hopefully, our next visit will be sooner than later because Alison and I are both pregnant and will have our hands full!!

THE PARK!

So, Kaylin and I went to the park with our good friends Jill and Michael. Kaylin had so much fun. She has grown up so quick, since the last time I took her to the park. She can now go up the stairs all by herself and go down the slide!! I enjoyed watching her play in the beautiful weather we are having. After swinging and playing, we all ate lunch at a picnic table. Kaylin sat at the table like a big girl. When we were finished, Kaylin went looking for flowers with Jill (her best girl buddy!) while I played a clapping game with Michael. He is 9 months old and adorable. You will see what I mean from the pictures I post. Thank goodness Jill had her camera because she got some cute pictures of Kaylin and Michael together. I was happy to see she got some of Kaylin and I together also!! Hope you enjoy all the pictures (thanks to Jill for taking them). Oh!.....Kaylin is now sleeping in her "big girl" bed!! BABY MOVES!!

Well, I felt the baby move for the first time on April 1st! No, it is not an April fool's joke. That was the exact day that I turned 16 weeks. In just a week, this baby has started kicking and moving stronger. It was so strong that I was very shocked the few times it would happen. Lately, the baby has been moving a lot more when it happens. To explain how crazy this baby is.....Jacob felt the baby kick this week!!! Isn't that crazy???? I thought the kicks/movement was strong enough for him to feel it, but it has totally confused me with it being this early. I've heard that you feel the baby earlier your second pregnancy,...but I didn't think for one moment that other people would be able to feel it so soon. We may have a little soccer player in there!!!

Well, everything is going well. I had a doctor's visit this Monday and the news was that I had lost 2lbs., the heartbeat was good, and that we will be doing the ultrasound on May 4th!!! Yay!! I can't wait to see this baby again. For all of you wondering.......NO, we are NOT finding out if it is a boy or girl. We didn't with Kaylin and we're not going to with this one. The only way we would find out would be if it was an accident! Oh, for those of you who don't know... here are our names: boy-Ethan Jacob and girl-Brooklyn Joy ......Let us know what you think!! Hope you are all doing well!!

KAYLIN SINGS!!!

I know it has been a long time since I've posted, but this post was worth the wait!!!! Kaylin is growing so fast and talking up a storm. She surprises me daily with new words and cute sayings. However, her latest interest has been singing songs!! I was very lucky to catch her in a good singing mood, after eating her dinner. I'm soo excited to share this video with you of her singing some songs. She starts off with 5 Little Monkeys (she repeats this many times.....so don't think that it is all she does the whole video). Then she tries to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider (with a small case of the hiccups) ..that is followed by her ABC's, Jesus Loves ME (we're still working on this one) and then Rock-a-bye Baby. WE'VE BEEN SICK!!!!

Okay,......so I have realized that with being pregnant and having a toddler.....you can't make any promises!!!! I know it has been forever since I have written or posted any pictures. I'm sorry! We have had one thing after another this past month. First, Kaylin got a really bad cough. I was up every hour with her the first two nights!! So, we ended up having to take her to the doctor (which is the first time we've had to take her for being sick.....we've been blessed). They wouldn't give her anything for her cough, but he said that she had the beginning of an ear infection!!! Completely was NOT expecting that!! She had shown no signs at all!!! Anyway, she gets better and I realize I have become sick from her. Great. So, I'm sick for more than 2 weeks. I ended up with a sinus infection!!! Yuck! I have never had one of those before and man......it was bad! It was especially hard being pregnant and having to choose medication from a list of certain things. Well, I end up getting better and I think we had 2 days of being normal. But, of course that can't happen......being normal. So, Kaylin ends up getting a stomach virus!!! It took about 4 to 5 days for her to fully get well. Now, to top all of this off.............I have made it through my first trimester without a whole lot of morning sickness. I was so sick with Kaylin my first trimester that I lost weight! So, making it past my first trimester not being that sick was very exciting. Remember though.....things can't be normal. So, all of a sudden, I have started having morning sickness like crazy!!! This is my second trimester........that's not supposed to happen.....right??? Well, I guess it is! Also, our main computer is still "sick", which has all my pictures. The laptop I'm using is so old it would probably quit working if I tried to load one picture!!! So, please be patient on me getting pictures back to the blog. Oh, did I mention that Jacob hurt his back building the playroom?? Yep, had to get an MRI on Friday. He is taking pain medication and starting to feel somewhat better. He did something to a disc in his back! We are asking for prayers for his back to heal and hoping for a better month ahead. ---My birthday is March 30th and Jacob is taking me to eat some very much craved crab legs!!! Does anyone know how much I can eat while pregnant? I've heard 12 oz. Well, there is an update for you! Hope everyone is doing well. Let me know how you are doing!

BABY #2!!!

So, Jacob and I went to the doctor today. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat and get an ultrasound. The baby is right on track and the heartbeat is strong at 170. The due date is the same ...... Sept. 16th. We are very happy that things are going well. The next appointment is in 4 weeks! I will be 13 weeks, and very excited for that visit........being out of the "miscarriage" stage. Asking for prayers during this time of the baby's growth. Hope all is well with everyone! Much love~

JOHN MICHAEL VISITS!

Okay, I know I have been saying I would post pictures of John Michael's visit. So, here it is...with PLENTY of pictures...so get ready!!

John Michael came to visit while his younger brother, Heston, was having surgery. He spent the night at our house for the first time. Kaylin absolutely LOVED having him over. They played very well together. It was so much fun!!! I really enjoyed having 2 kids around and watching them interact. It makes me definitely want more kids! I took way too many pictures, so I'm just going to write a little bit before each one. Enjoy!

So, I noticed everyone putting up Thanksgiving pictures and realized I had not! I only have a few from Thanksgiving on Jacob's side of the family and there are not many of family. My battery died in my camera while we were there and I didn't have an extra one with me. These pictures are at Jacob's Aunt Tiffany's husband Scott's mother's house. Did you get that??Anyway, here are the pictures I do have!

WOW! It is so hard to believe that it will be Kaylin's 2nd Christmas this year. I was looking through some pictures and came across some from last Christmas. As I was looking at them, I couldn't stop thinking about how much she has grown since then!!! She's a little girl now! Today, I have John Michael (my nephew) staying with me. He spent the night and has had fun with Kaylin all day! They are both taking a nap....so....my time to blog! I will post pictures of their day together soon. For now, I just have pictures of Jacob and Kaylin. These pictures are from a day that Jacob came home for lunch.

Here is a picture of Jacob and Kaylin that I absolutely LOVE!!! They were both saying "cheese!" This picture is priceless to me! They are both so cute.

A FUN-FILLED DAY!

I'm going to attempt to load some photos on here. These photos are from a very fun day Kaylin and I had a couple of weeks ago. She is so much fun to play with!

Here she is reading her bible to me. In this picture she was pointing and telling me about baby Moses. If you ask her to find baby Moses, she will flip through the whole book until she finds it and then say "BABY!! BABY!!".

After she was finished with her bible, she found a book with cats and dogs. These are some of her favorite words to say. In the picture below, Kaylin is pointing to the cat and yelling "C-AT!".

Kaylin decided she wanted to bring things to play with to her blanket. Her blanket was made by her Nana (Jacob's mother). Kaylin loves to sit on it and play with things. The next few pictures are of Kaylin playing with blocks. The first one is one of my favorites!

Ok....last picture! Kaylin found the picture of a cat on one of her blocks. She is ...AGAIN...pointing out the cat and telling me what it is.

Ok.....here we go! The first blog for the Thome family. I'm Robin and my husband's name is Jacob. We have a little girl named Kaylin who is 17 months old. She's a handful, but a complete joy! Jacob and I definitely want to add to the family! We also have a dog named Dodge. He's a miniature schnauzer that is completely white. Kaylin loves him and they play together very well.

You will probably see many pictures on here (soon). I love photography and I am a stay-at-home mom. I taught 3rd and 1st grade before staying home. Now, I teach my daughter!! I LOVE being at home with her everyday. She is always doing something new. I'm very thankful that my husband wants me to be home with her and works so hard for it to happen. I love him!

My husband is a branch manager for Suntrust. We have been together since high school. He is the most amazing person in my life, other than God. Jacob is the leader of our house and God is the leader of our lives! We love our God and are thankful for Him giving His only son to die for our sins. We are committed to raising Kaylin in a Christian home where she will be loved, cared for and most of all surrounded by God's teachings and LOVE!
