I HAVE A BOY?????

Ok...so I have to admit that I was terrified of having a boy!! Now, I don't know what I would do without Ethan. I remember hearing that Mothers and sons have a special bond.......now, I'm experiencing it..ALREADY!! I know it seems early, but there is just something about this little boy that has me bonding in a way that is different than Kaylin(not necessarily better...just different). I think I'm going to have a real hard time not spoiling Ethan. I am consumed with love for him and still can't believe how much my love can grow and spread between 2 kids. I was so worried that one would received less than the other or something crazy like that...and I'm so glad that I was wrong. It is amazing to me to think about just how much God has blessed me and my family. I am so thankful for my amazing husband and my wonderful kids Kaylin and Ethan!

Speaking of Ethan.....he is growing like crazy! He weighed 6 pounds 0 ounces when he was born. At his last doctor's visit he weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces. There was one point where he gained a pound in ONE week!!! He is gaining weight, sleeping good, and having new experiences. He had his first bath a while back, but I thought I would share some pictures with you. Ethan absolutely loves having a bath and getting his hair washed. In one of the pictures below, you can see how big his belly is from all his good eating. Also, in one of the other pictures you can really see how long and skinny his legs are....he is going to be tall like his daddy!

Ethan has started smiling every once in awhile. Whether it is because he has gas or if he is happy.....I don't know! I do know that it is so cute and precious when he smiles. I'm happy that I have been able to catch a few pictures of him. Here is a picture of him smiling and just a couple others for fun.

Here are a few more pictures of Ethan. His grandad and Gail sent him a gift card to Kohl's as a present. So, here are a couple of things that it was used for.....a long sleeve onesie and some really adorable shoes! I'm not use to having a baby in cold weather (since Kaylin was in June)....so I'm trying to keep Ethan warm and bundled up the best I can. I try to keep his feet warm with socks, but his feet are just too skinny!! You see, they are big(long) enough to fit into his socks, but too skinny to keep them from falling off. So, these new shoes are perfect for helping keep his socks on and his feet warm and cozy. Thanks Grandad and Gail for the gift!!

Ok.....so, Kaylin has been hilarious lately!!! She is at such an incredibly fun age. I'm going to have to make sure I start sharing all the funny things that she does during the day. Here is one of them: I was sitting at the computer when I hear Kaylin coming down the hall saying "Mommy!...Look at ME! Look at ME, Mommy!" followed by an adorable giggle. I look up to see her like this..........

I started busting out laughing and we both just laughed and giggled at each other for the longest time. It was a very sweet moment. Anyway, she had taken two VHS covers and put them over her legs. She looked like she had peg-legs. It was so funny. Well, I had to take a close up of the VHS covers that were picked for her fashion show down the hallway.....and the winners are?????? ELMO and Thomas the Train!!

Well, many people have asked me how Kaylin is doing being a big sister. The answer is......GREAT!! She absolutely loves Ethan to death. She is so caring and gentle with him. The following are some pictures of Kaylin and Ethan together.

Kaylin wanted Ethan to come watch a movie in her room. Here they are laying together.

This is one morning when Kaylin decided to get on the couch and talk to Ethan.

I just think this is a cute picture. Kaylin has a cute expression!

They are looking at each other!

This was so funny! Kaylin was telling Ethan a SECRET!!

Here is a sequence of three pictures where Kaylin helps give Ethan his paci. She shows it to him, lines it up in the right position, and then plugs it in!

Last...but not least.....my FAVORITE!!!! They are looking at each other and smiling!

Well, this is by far the longest most informed blog that I have done!! I hope to continue doing this....maybe not this long, but definitely try to capture more of what's going on with Kaylin, Ethan and our family. Hope you enjoyed catching up!

Ethan is here!!

Ethan is here! Well, ok...he has BEEN here. He is already about to be a month old!! I can't believe how fast time goes by.....especially with two kids now! Things are going well though. Kaylin absolutely LOVES Ethan and can be a little too helpful sometimes. They are geat and I love being a mother to two kids. Well, here are some pictures...don't have much time to write today.
Ethan was so little! In this picture you can see how his little sternum sticks up. But, now you can hardly see it since he has been putting on weight.

Here is Jacob, Ethan and myself soon after delivery.

Jacob smiling at Ethan!...one of my favorites!

Jacob was able to do a lot with Ethan....here he is putting on Ethan's cap.

Ethan taking a rest after the nurses have checked him.

Here we are with our new little boy!

Kaylin pointing at Ethan the first time she saw him.

She was excited and gave Ethan a kiss!

Kaylin holding Ethan for the first time! She was soo sweet and gentle with him.

MYRTLE BEACH!

Our Myrtle Beach trip was so much fun. Jacob, Kaylin and I went 2 days before we met up with Gran, Poppy, RaRa, Nina, Nick and Zach. We had a lot of fun those 2 days, but I did not take any pictures. When I get my camera out, I usually spend more time taking pictures than enjoying my time with Jacob and Kaylin. So, no pictures from our time together. But, I do have pictures from our time with everyone else. There are a lot...so prepare yourself. Here they are:

Kaylin on a boogie board. Nina pulled her around in the condo and she loved it!

Kaylin helped her daddy dig a swimming hole on the beach.

Here is Kaylin jumping waves with RaRa and Nina's help.

Kaylin, RaRa and Nina playing in the water!
Kaylin and her daddy in the water.

Here is Kaylin running to the water. She LOVED the ocean!

Kaylin would take a break for a snack in her beach chair.

This was Kaylin's reaction when we told her she couldn't go play in the ocean until she finished her snack.

Jacob got a good shot of me and my belly with Kaylin.

I was able to play with Kaylin for a little while in the ocean. I really enjoyed it!

I love this picture of Kaylin running to see RaRa and Nina.

She decided to stop and have a little chat with them on the beach.

After her chat, she grabbed Gran and headed back to the ocean!

Here is Kaylin playing in the pool Jacob dug for her on the beach.

WATCH OUT!! Here is Kaylin doing her Baywatch run!

Kaylin enjoying the beach.

I LOVE this picture of Kaylin and Poppy getting hit by a big wave!!

Kaylin jumping waves in the ocean. Look how cool the water looks!

Jacob's pool creation. He was very proud of how big it was. Look at the border he put around it too! The "beach pool" Jacob made Kaylin received a lot of interest from other kids. Two other kids actually got their dad to start making one! (ha,ha)

This is a funny picture of Kaylin throwing up sand at Nick!

Here is Kaylin getting ready to swim with the boys!

Kaylin swimming to Nick.

Our little fish!

I can JUMP!! Kaylin showing off for Nick and Zach.

Hanging out at the pool with Nick, Mommy and Zach.

Kaylin had a wonderful time at Myrtle Beach. She really enjoyed playing in the ocean a lot this year!! It was so much fun to see how she reacted to things. I hope we get to go back again next year. I think Myrtle Beach might become a tradition! Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Next, will be our Camp Meeting trip. I'll get it up as soon as I can. Thanks for checking in!
